Sry no SVG. JPG-PNG are available in all sizes up to 256px I believe. I even ulpoaded this to git friendica I think, not sure witch versions, every once in a while I retouch something. Terms of use are CC0 (actually NC) but in the case of friendica anything goes.
The colored circular image is a svg "permafluer", published creative commons by someone else in some CC svg catalogue site. The copy left is from a SVG creative commons site. The friendica base is from a friendica logo itself. Gimme a day and I look up all the info with links if I can.

@Friendica Support I would like to pull some content from Ukraine to my Friendica instance and found the following relay that has all hte relevent Ukrainien Mastodon instances: relay.social.net.ua/ However, `console relay add relay.social.net.ua/actor` gives me a `couldn't be added`. The reason might be that this is not a yukicmochi relay but based on some other code. Would you be so kind to have a look whether this can be fixed on my end or on theirs and how?
@Michael πΊπ¦ Thanks, and yes, they replied to me and explained that they have a good reason for only accepting relay connnections from exclusively Ukrainian-speaking instances. Now I am multilingual and will have other multilinguals on my instance. What we would need to have is a way to configure Friendica to transmit only content in specific languages to specific relays. As far as I understand all content is tagged by Friendica automatically according to the used language (in the same way Mastodon users manually select the used language), so it should not be too hard to make the relay agent select specific languages for export? If I can guarantee this, said relay would let me in.

A question about the different page option settings of accounts (friendica 2024.03). /settings/account/basic
Right now this page want's to merge from a standard personal profile page to kinda community profile page where only specific defined profiles can publish thru it's wall to the rest of the followers.
First thought was to stay as a single profile page, allow mutual friend relations to publish/write to this wall, and change all contacts that do not belong to the inner circle of profiles to followers only. Apparently this setting doesn't work, or doesn't work as expected. Security and privacy settings in: /settings
Is this a known issue or some kind of misinterpretation of this option?
Next possible option would be to choose to become a public community group page.
This option would imply a continuous attention to change every new contact to followers only, if in fact this would mean that the followers would not be able to publish to the group but receive publications. Also this setting would include the risk of being exposed to unexpected posts into the community of followers whenever the administration of the profile lags behind for some reason.
The option private group looks more promising in this regard and actually would be the same than being a personal profile page that checks new follow requests and than could change the setting to allow mutual friendship to post to the profiles wall or simply define a follower relationship. The [Experimental] notice, that actually exists like lot's of years already is a little bit confusing, or creates a certain reluctance to try this option. How experimental is this still as of now or could we perhaps ask the community to run a general test on all the options of the account settings in general together with a general feed back to sum this up and come to some definite setup, wording and explanations on the matter?
Hi there, working on moving old friendica sites from a shared hosting to a VPS, I ran into the following problem I can't find a solution for. This actually happens with one 2021.04 instance but not with another (anymore), so I'm crosschecking all the settings but can't find how to solve this. Both sites were installed as 2012.04 from the start:

Different intents to fix this by changing or deleting the following settings from the console didn't work out:
Even more astonishing, sending the following setting with the console: /bin/console config system url https://sub.domain.com .. the site is displayed and works as it should be for a few minutes, and than falls back into the wrong behavior, like if the worker changes something when ever the cron kicks in. In that time span I can log in and even go thru the admin settings but this setting is not available.
Intents to modify the following specifications in local.config.php didn't work out either:

On a first glimps, I haven't found any mention of the path terms. In any case I will wonder about the meaning of: "the meaning of the relevant config keys". Like to say, if I can find "relevant config keys" ..
@utopiArte Sorry, I was on mobile and couldnβt check but these keys should have been mentioned in this file, along their purpose.
system.basepath is the absolute file path where Friendica is installed, e.g. /var/www/subdomaincom in your case.
system.urlpath should only be used if Friendica is installed in a subfolder of the domain youβre using, and is relative to that domain. It doesn't seem to be relevant to you, so it should be blank.
system.url is the absolute URL where your Friendica node is accessible. It should consist in the protocol, the domain and the urlpath together. In your case it should be https://sub.domain.com/
system.php_path should be the absolue path to the PHP CLI executable. It should not point to PHP-FPM, which is used to process web requests.
Changed this setting in the local.config.php to phpX.y. The sites are working like before.
I decided to copy/paste identically local.config.php of the site that does work to the one that doesn't, only changing the specific detail of DB and folder structure, and also made sure that the .conf files are alike. Still having the same problem.
Compared the print of: /var/www/subdomaincom/bin/console config in the few minutes it is working correctly after sending: /var/www/subdomaincom/bin/console config system url https://sub.domain.com and when it doesn't work but the prints are identically.
The print right now for both sites show the following quite at the bottom of the print:
The only difference between the two sites in the print is the following line quite at the top: config.system.basepath => / This line doesn't exist in the site that is working and I can't find a way to skip it or delete the /. Meld (the diff program) shows a dot in front of the the slash ./, the simple text editor Kate doesn't.
Meld actually also shows the [enter] signs in the same way, a little bit less colored, in lines that have them, like it shows the dot. π€·ββοΈ

system.url is actually not set as https://sub.domain.com/ but as sub.domain.com
What do you mean by "works for a few minutes"? How many pages correctly show in the mean time? What happens when the few minutes have elapsed?
The site works correctly for several minutes. I can log in. All pages show correctly, including admin pages. Once it falls back to redirecting to: sub.domain.com/var/www/subdomain/ .. I have to execute again: /var/www/subdomaincom/bin/console config system url https://sub.domain.com .. the console prints (as always): system.url <= https://inversion.tupambae.com and I can use the site again for several minutes before it falls back to the wrong behavior.
After a break I started to check out everything again and did several tests. I changed the order of the lines in local.config.php and managed to get the exact same lines and order in the bin/console prints of both sites. The problem stayed. Than I checked example_local.config.php to compare and found that actually any of the lines figure there, so I deleted them all together. Right now local.config.php looks like this:
The site still behaves the same way. At first it loads correctly, and quite fast, after some minutes it starts taking lot's of time and ends up like in the screen of the initial post.
Now the bin/console config print shows only the following two specific lines related to the whole path issue, all the other references mentioned above are gone. I have no idea how to delete the remaining references. Those lines have to figure somewhere in the DB I guess, but again, no idea what lines to execute to display them or delete them: config.system.basepath => / system.basepath => /var/www/subdomain
@utopiArte Once you set a config value using the console, changing the value in the config file won't help as the console stores the value in the DB and it has precedence over the files.
No matter how you did it, the important part is that system.basepath must be set to the install folder, and system.url must be set to the full URL. You can verify what the current value used by Friendica for either config keys is using the console.
I've browsed https://inversion.tupambae.com and when the style is missing, the first line shows inversion.tupambae.com/var/www/inversioncom even though it should show https://inversion.tupambae.com. This is governed by the system.url config key.
To me it "feels" that /var/www/subdomaincom is added by some mecanism to sub.domain.com. In particular because when setting specifically with the console command /var/www/subdomaincom/bin/console config system url -> https://sub.domain.com it works for some minutes.
As last intent I tried to use the following commands to reset the two mentioned settings but the behaviour ist still the same: /var/www/subdomaincom/bin/console config system url https://sub.domaincom /var/www/subdomaincom/bin/console config system basepath /var/www/subdomaincom/
No I can't. There is no change at all in the results of the bin/console config output (print). Actually even the settings send and "officially" accepted by the system do not show up in the print.
Latest thing I tried, totally feed up, was to send the commands several times and also making sure they end with a slash.

@utopiArte Oh I forgot this was such an old version. There still is an issue with the pictures because /var/www/subdomain/ gets prepended in the URL. Do you mind running bin/console config system and send the output to hypolite@mrpetovan.com ?
@utopiArte There's no file named boot.php at the root of the Friendica install, not sure where it's coming from.
The CURLE_OPERATION_TIMEOUTED constant is defined by the PHP curl extension, please verify it is enabled in the CLI version of php with php -i | grep curl.
For what it's worth, I found friendica to be unfriendly to non-root URLs, that is to say URLs that aren't at /, so I setup a subdomain specifically for friendica, friendica.eskimo.com/. You may wish to give that a try. The machine domain does not need to be this, you can do it by configuring DNS to point to the base IP of the machine and then configuring a subdomain in Apache or Nginx as a virtual host.
Also, this is a btop from an 18 core machine with 256GB of RAM with the major load being friendica, a secondary load is hubzilla, mastodon, and miskey, but friendica represents more load than the latter three combined, but it also gets more traffic than the latter three combined. But what I am getting at here, you may want to consider dedicating a physical server. I'll grant you it's busier than usual as we've just returned the server to service after three months of downtime, 7 motherbords, three power supplies, and two CPU's later.

I have huge problems with the worker queue, it periodically gets stuck for a very long time, processing nothing for hours or (more often) days (so far the maximum was 11 days) when it just grows a processes nothing. This means that my friends can't send each other private messages, public posts don't federate and any sort of permission-restricted posts get stuck on "pending" for days.
I tried running the worker.php with crontab very 5 minutes in addition to the friendica deamon, but it does not seem to help.
@FifiSch You can scale the worker in admin->page->Worker/Performance settings. You should run the worker manually and see if it throws an error? If this is the case depending on the error message you may enable extensions or increase the memory limit... or find an error in an addon...!??

Das Ergebnis der URL PrΓΌfung wird lokal gespeichert, ist aber nicht Teil des Protokolls (zumindest nach meinen Wissensstand). Die jeweiligen Mastodon Instanzen prΓΌfen ebenfalls autonom und speichern das Ergebnis lokal.
Ich schicke auch mal Screenshots, anscheinend kann ich es nicht so gut erklΓ€ren. FΓΌr mich sieht es so aus, als wenn friendica.me die Adresse der Homepage gar nicht an andere Server weitergebe wΓΌrde.

I moved the #Friendica Wiki to another server. I need some people to test it and see if all works. I will then solve the problems pointed out.
The initial setup was not done by me. It was still on a server with php 7.4 because it did not work with 8.x due to some plugins. I removed those plugins, apparently not maintained since 2014.
I also saw that it loads some js from some CDN, I don't like that either, so tips welcome on that. Maybe there is a plugin that stores such stuff locally?
Also can you suggest a free service to analyze your webpage, show problem, broken links and such?
I saw that the Avatar (only a systemwide standard avatar for all users) is not displayed in my Firefox, but looks fine on Chromium. May be a DNS issue, so local issue only, seems tailscale some how messes up my DNS resolution. But please have a look for any embedded stuff that does not load!

@utzer [Pleroma] I usually use chromium.. Now I tried also with a (quite) fresh firefox, I think without addons.. shows the same problems.. Network console shows: "NS_ERROR_CORRUPTED_CONTENT" for bootstrap and some other files..

@utzer [Pleroma] when I try to open https://wiki.friendi.ca/lib/plugins/icons/assets/font-awesome/css/font-awesome.min.css, the browser instead loads the whole website
Right now, I'm getting 404 for all pages. Earlier, I looked up the 'moving accounts' page and the layout wasn't how it should be. I'd send a screenshot if I didn't get the 404 right now :)

@gmc I am constantly working on it, it was 404 for some minutes, right now it should work and also what you describe should be fixed right now. But I will adjust some nginx conf further.

Ich habe mir einen zusΓ€tzlichen #Circle eingerichtet, den ich nur als #Feedreader nutzen will. #Feeds, die dort landen, werden jedoch nicht in diesem Circle angezeigt, sondern unter "Alle Kontakte bzw. Kontakte". Was muss ich tun, um die Feeds nur in diesem neuen Circle anzuzueigen und den Rest unter "Alle Kontakte"?
